中華系マレーシア人のソウルフード "バクテー"から英語を学ぶ
久々にバクテーを食べてきました。おいしかった～。自分でも作ってみようと思い、You Tube動画を見ながら作り方を勉強中です。
マレーシアの料理を作るときによくお世話になる動画が、"Nyonya Cooking（ニョニャ クッキング"というマレーシア華人の方が配信しているYou Tube動画です。マレーシア華人らしい中国語訛りの英語ですが、非常に分かりやすい英語で、料理と一緒に英語の勉強にもなります。
今回は"クッキング・イングリッシュ"ということで、以下のNyonya Cookingさんの動画からいくつか英単語や表現を抜き出してみました。
約17分の動画なので、今後数回に分けて単語、表現を紹介していきます。

- 意味：食べるとホッとする料理、昔を思い出させる料理、心の安らぐ料理
- 例文：

- 意味：一般的に
- 例文：Bak Kuh Teh loosely translates into meat bone tea.
- メモ："ゆるく"以外にも、"一般的に"という意味がある。
- come to be called
- 意味：～と呼ばれるようになる
