"その２"の続きです。以下の"Life in Japan"さんの動画から、いくつか英単語や表現を抜き出して勉強します。実際に英会話で使える単語、表現が満載ですので、楽しく効率的に勉強しましょう！

各単語と表現の説明
- The train lines are closed.
- 意味：電車が運転を見合わせている
- 例文：The train line was closed for more than 3 hours.（3時間以上も電車が運転を見合わせた）
- メモ：The line was suspended.とsuspendも使用可能。
- get to work
- 意味：仕事にとりかかる、仕事を始める
- 例文：
- How do you get to work?（普段どうやって通勤しているの？）
- I have to get to work now.（仕事にとりかからなくっちゃ。 ）
- Let's get to work.（よし、仕事始めましょうか）
- twig（名詞）
- 意味：小枝
- メモ：小枝はtwig、普通の枝はbranch
- snap（動詞）
- 意味：（枝など）ポキッと折れる
- 例文：
- The twig snapped.（小枝が折れた）
- The branch snapped.（枝が折れた）
- be littered with～
- 意味：～が散乱している
- 例文：
- The path is littered with branches.（道に木の枝が散乱している）
- The river was littered with plastic.（その川にはプラスチックが散乱していた）

- 意味：どんな感じか見てみよう、どんな感じになっているか見てみよう
- overflow（動詞）
- 意味：あふれる、あふれ出る
- 例文：
- The river is overflowing.（川が氾濫している）
- The water overflowed onto the floor.（水が床にあふれ出た＝床が水浸しになった）
- The bathtab overflowed.（風呂から水があふれ出た）
- The river was overflowing due to heavy rains.（豪雨によって川が氾濫していた）
- slope（名詞）
- 意味：坂、傾斜
- 例文：
- He dashed up the slope.（彼はその坂道をダッシュした）
- This road has a steep slope.(（この道には急な坂がある）
- The slope is llarge.（傾斜が大きい）
- What a steep slope!（なんて急な斜面だ！）
- embankment（名詞）
- 意味：堤防、土手
- メモ：発音はimbǽnkmənt
- all the way up to～
- 意味：～まで上がってくる
- 例文：
- The river comes all the way up to this embankment.（川がこの堤防まで上がってきている）
- The water came all the way up to these pillars here.（水がこの柱まで上がってきた）
