"その３"の続きです。以下の"Samuel and Audrey"さんの旅行Vlogから、いくつか英単語や表現を抜き出して勉強します。旅の英会話を楽しく学びましょう！（たぶんあと2回で終わるはず・・）

各単語と表現の説明
- stand（名詞）
- walk up to～
- 意味：～に歩いていく、～に歩み寄る
- 例文：
- I walked up to him and asked.（彼に歩み寄って尋ねた）
- I decided to walk up to it and get a closer look.（それをよく見るために歩み寄った）
- sniff（動詞）
- 意味：においをかぐ
- 例文：
- He sniffed the liquid in the glass.（彼はグラスの中の液体のにおいをかいだ）
- The dog is sniffing around.（犬が辺りのにおいをかいでいる）
- skewer（名詞）
- 意味：串
- overpowering（形容詞）
- 意味：においが非常に強い
- 例文：
- The smell was terribly overpowering.（そのにおいがとんでもないくらいに強かった）
- The perfume is overpowering.（その香水、においが強すぎる）

- 意味：別格だ、素晴らしい、普通とは違う
- 例文：
- That is something else.（それは別格です）

- メモ：会話の流れで良い意味にも悪い意味にも使える表現。何か他のものという意味ではない。

- 意味：距離をとる
- 例文：
- I am keeping my distance.（ちょっと距離とるわ）
- You had better keep your distance. He is sick.（彼病気なので、距離とった方が良いよ）
- I've tried being friendly but she keeps her distance.（私はフレンドリーに接しようとしているが、彼女は距離をとる）
- fermented（形容詞）
- 意味：発酵した
- 例文：It is a fermented food.（それは発酵食品です）
- take a while
- 意味：しばらく時間がかかる
- 例文：
- This would take a while to get used to.（これは慣れるまでにしばらく時間がかかるね）
- It is going to take a while.（もう少し時間かかりそうだわ）
- grow on～
- 意味：（～にとって）だんだん好きになる、
- 例文：
- This is starting to grow on me.（これ好きになりつつある）
- You should take another bite. It will grow on you.（もう一口食べてみて。だんだん好きになるよ）
- describe（動詞）
- 意味：説明する、描写する
- 例文：I don't know how to describe the taste.（その味どう描写したらよいか分からん）
- fascinating（形容詞）
- 意味：魅力的な、興味をそそる
- 例文：
- That's fascinating.（それは興味をそそるね）
- That sounds fascinating.（それは魅力的ですね）
- Your photographs are fascinating.（あなたの写真は魅力的です）
- メモ：interestingに代替可能。

- 意味：そうは言っても、とは言え
- 例文：
- I know it is important but that being said I don't have enough time to do it.（それが重要なのは知っているが、とは言えやる時間がない）
- I don't like exercises. That being said, I work out twice a week at the gym.（運動が嫌いだが、とは言え1週間に2度ジムで汗を流している）
